Battery Box Bottom10105 viewsThis is the bottom of the battery box. It is 3/4" plywood with a 2x2 edge frame.
The colored boxes are pieces of plywood cut to the size of Golf Cart batteries.

Rear Battery box in truck6119 viewsThis is the rear Battery Box that will hold 42 Golf Cart batteries in the bed of the truck.
(Someday when hitech batteries are reasonably priced, I'll remove this and mount the pack under the bed.)

PFC-50 location5343 viewsEven with the huge engine compartment that used to hold a 460cui engine, I'm having trouble cramming everything in.
A PFC-50 charger is BIG, and while there is lots of free space, none of it is the right shape for the charger, or there are other things that will be there.
So, it looks like I'll be mounting the charger at the back of the engine bay, behind the battery box, but tilted up so that I can still reach the controls on it.

Front Battery Box plywood4013 viewsThis is the box that sits in the Engine compartment. It will hold 6 GC batteries.
I still have to insulate and fiberglass it.

Battery Box shaping3987 viewsAs you can see, I had to shape some of the corners to fit the rounded parts of the truck bed.

Battery Box Bottom Insulation3955 viewsThe insulation on the bottom of the battery box is permanent, and will be encased in the fiberglass.
It's 2" (1.5" actual) foam board.

Front Battery Box mounting frame3835 viewsSince the front battery box can't just sit in a nice pre-built holder (i.e. the bed of the truck), I had to build a support framework for it.
This box will hold 6 GC batteries.

Battery Hold Downs3684 viewsAll the battery hold down posts are in place. These are 3/8 allthread into the flange nuts on the bottom of the box.
There are posts on either side of each pair of batteries.
A square bar will be across the full width of the box, bolted to all the posts in that row.
